RANDY & LIZ

We recently photographed an amazing wedding in New Hampshire, and due to popular demand, I decided to add it to the blog (even though we have shot many other amazing weddings recently, all of which are blog-worthy).  This gorgeous event was held at the bride’s parents’ farmhouse in New Hampshire.  I had worked with the bride before (she was a bridesmaid at one of our weddings a couple years back), and it was an honor to be invited to photograph her wedding this year!

How they met…

Liz and Randy were two lost New Englanders living in New York, when their paths crossed at a Halloween Party of a mutual friend.  They did not know it then, but it was at that moment that they realized they had found what they both had always been looking for.  Soon thereafter they realized they shared similar passions in cooking, testing one’s boundaries with spicy food, and a good cocktail.  As their spring hikes turned into summer beach days, Liz and Randy began to fall in love with the simple things in life and each other.  Liz turned Randy on to the joys of a five-story walkup in the East Village, while Randy introduced Liz to the nautical wonders of Long Island.  However, something they truly bonded over was the love they had for Randy’s daughter Cate, and their lifelong friends and family back home in New England.  After 3 years of dating Randy asked Liz to marry him at an old lighthouse on the rocky shores of Newport.  Of course, she said, “Yes”, and here we are on their wedding day!

Before we start, let me just commend Liz and Randy up front for having a knack for picking out amazing vendors (though, I suspect they received a few suggestions from their wonderful wedding planner, Lori Walter).  Everyone who took part in this wedding was AMAZING.  Seriously.  As a photographer who has shot tons of weddings, we’ve seen our share of the good and bad.  It’s not uncommon to see great quality from someone with less than a professional attitude.  I saw no such combination at this wedding.  The work was very professional all the way around, and each and every vendor was so incredibly accommodating and kind that I wanted to be their best friend!  Enough said, but I’m putting links up in case you are looking for some great vendors.  The gorgeous flowers were by Sorella Flower Company.

Hair by Michelle Joyce Hair, and Makeup by Dollface Boston.  They did an incredible job with this part of the preparations!

A special note from Randy to Liz…

At her parents’ home… what an incredible spot for a wedding.  And Liz, you were absolutely stunning.

Randy and his groomsmen got dressed at The Centennial Hotel in Concord.  I loved Randy’s blue suit; it looked great on him and it was a nice contrast with the rest of the wedding party.

The ceremony took place at St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester, NH.  This church was quite a sight to behold!

Liz’s brother was the Koumbaro (the official sponsor) at their Greek Orthodox wedding.

Husband and wife!

The bridal party Coach and the Bentley transport were provided by Grace Limo.  I love these images of Liz and Randy; the Bentley really fit the day… a lot of beautiful antique details throughout.

Beautiful ladies and handsome men!

The bride and groom hopped into the Bentley and took a trip to Beech Hill Farm for some ice cream (and a few photos) prior to joining the reception.

Dinner was served family-style, provided by Magic Foods Catering.  Some of the best food we’ve ever tried!  That beautiful wedding cake was by Jacques Pastries in Suncook, NH.

Music was provided by Boss, and they were really incredible.  They had the dance floor going from even before the reception officially started, right to the very end.

What’s a Greek wedding without Greek dancing?  This photographer adores photographing Greek dancing!

It was an amazing day; Liz and Randy, we enjoyed every moment of working with you.  Both of your families were wonderful to work with, as well.  We felt right at home.  May you have a long and happy life together as a married couple.  I can’t wait to share more of your images with you!
